I liked Epileptic about as much as I liked Blankets. It's about a boy growing up with an epileptic brother and his family's struggle with the condition.
I recently finished
The Forever War by Dexter Filkins. It's a war correspondent's account of his experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq. Initially, it felt too much like a travelogue, but by the end, I enjoyed it. It was a depressing read.
