Or rather it did. The nickname finally died off after college. I didn't really care about the nickname itself, but it was how often people called me Willdo in inappropriate situations that caused me problems. Like the middle school talent show. I played a very difficult version of Matt Denis' "Angel Eyes", and it took everything I had. My whole family was there. As soon as I finished, Kyle Slater, the other trombonist in the band, shouted "YEAH WILLDO!" While I appreciated the encouragement, his particular choice of nickname left something to be desired.
