1. College is what lucky (rich) kids attend to grow up and often waste. Poor kids join the military. Both groups have smarties and dummies.
2. Nobody likes an asshole, but nice guys get taken advantage of far more often than assholes do.
3. The idiosyncrasies you have spent your youth trying to erase are actually the things that will make it difficult to get any job that requires a background check. Be a cookie-cutter person on the outside. It keeps The Man happy. Freedom of expression and sense of style are not something professionals care much about.
4. When your partner says "I love you but I'm not in love with you," that's your cue to move out. It also lets you know that they don't understand love much.
5. We are what we do. So do something.
