The sacking of KP
Pretty much couldnt say it better than this BBC.CO.UK blog:
"Just as the Australian team staggers to its weakest in a quarter century, with the home Ashes Series just around the corner, English cricket has taken careful aim and shot itself in both feet"
Just a disaster. In cricket more than in ANY other sport, the captain is the leader, the number one, and where the buck stops. If KP didnt have faith in Moores, if for whatever reason he didnt want Moores, then the guy has to go... a long time before the spat gets into the public eye.
I like Strauss as a man, but at the end of the day of Tresco was mentally up to it Strauss probably wouldnt even be in the team.
The ECB knew exactly what they were getting when they appointed KP: a man who may be brash, arrogant, assertive, but in my opinion a born winner and born leader. If they wanted a "Yes" man, they never should have appointed him, and now they have sacked him for being brash, arrogant, assertive - etc, basically for being who he is. The possibility is that now we not only have a divided team which is in shambles, we may also have lost the best English batsmen of his generation.
The Aussies must be pissing themselves laughing at this bloody shambles.
Lets hope the boys can pull together and take strength for this... but to be honest, English cricket is a fucking laughing stock right now.
