As some of you may know, I was laid off last November after 12 years with my company. Fun times.
So...in an effort to economize, we are back on dial up service. The problem is, I cannot receive incoming phone calls while searching for jobs online. Nor do the calls go to the answering machine. This raises the issue that potential employers would not be able to call in. I could be missing out on an opportunity while looking for something else. Not good.
The question then becomes, is there some software out there (free would be good
) that alerts me to an incoming call, and might even have a caller id that lets me know
who is trying to call in? I have to think that there is something out there, but I'm having no luck in finding it.
