Do not search for the "purpose" of life. There is none. Imagine if "we" invent new technologies , colonize the universe, colonize everything, know everything, then what ?
What I say is that life is like dance or music. We are not insects or robots, to do everything with a purpose - to survive or whatever. Same as dance or music, life must contain "moves" that seem to have "no sense" or "no utility". Utility is not the meaning of life. Just be happy
