Crock pots are easy, and you'll appreciate it once you figure out some good dishes. I'm sure there are quite a few crock pot recipes here on TFP.
My mom sent me some kitchen stuff I needed - a mixer, a scale, fruit basket with banana hook, spice rack, and mug tree. I also got a few books (including a textbook, haha, I'm such a nerd) and a bunch of muppet movies - including the Muppet Christmas Carol, which I MUST watch today.
I had Christmas Eve dinner with the barn owner and her in-laws last night, and I'm having brunch with her and her family today. Crompsin has been doing his thing with his family.
