I always preferred Donald. Mickey just seemed like a bit too much of a prig (at least the way I remember him).
Most Disney I read was from my fathers old comics (circa early 1960s).
My favourite was the comic where Donald becomes a pyromaniac. (I'm not kidding).
According to the internet; Huey, Dewey and Louie actually did have a mother whose name was Dumbella.
