Thank you, LT. The brushes, I was told by the store owner, are Japanese calligraphy brushes. He had some others that were about 4.5' in length, huge and beautifully enameled. It was a wonderful shop. The owner had taught high school in China for 25 years, then came back to this tiny little FL town and opened an Asian Antiques shop. I love stories like that. He was lovely. And so was his dog.
