That's a good point. It may be a known species that was simply born or developed in a different way. If humans can be born with gigantism, it's possible other mammals like whales can as well.
I'm really not sure if there's a Yao Ming whale joke in there, but I promise to look into it. Maybe I'll work sushi into it.
