Funny how these are a "love 'em or hate 'em" kind of thing. My hunny hates the incessent ticking, especially when he's trying to sleep. I LOVE them. Had a few wind up ones at one time. Would hang a wind up pocket watch by my bed so I could hear the soft tick tick when I was going to sleep. I had a wind up watch (needs a new glass so not using it now) that I used to wear all the time and leaning my head on my hand so that I could hear it ticking away was theraputic.
