A couple things I like....
how excited they get when you let them teach you something they enjoy
watching them play with children and being able to visualize them as child
when your going through a rough time and they tell you: Man Up! or Grow a Sack!.....sometimes it's exactly what you need to hear
that look in their eyes when they tell you about the first time they saw Star Wars...
