Huh the state where I live do random drug testing on drivers, as well as breath testing for booze. I havent had one yet but its a swab that gives a pass/fail in around 5 mins and you go for further testing(i think) At this stage its only a fine but if you get aught 3 times you can do your licence and probably get a visit from the local law. It was only a trial, not sure if it has been passed for ever or not.
