Skizzits it may be time to brush up on your skills my friend I know I need to in this day
I found this forum by accident misspelling lipan apache as (lipin)on a google search.
I noticed the first link said something about Tom Brown so i had to register just to set the record straight here.
I also took the the first course in NJ of the 23 courses or so available at the time. 5/20-26/1996.
I think what Tom Brown may have more likely said is that fox walk is one of the fastest ways to get there. I will say however he did mention the military survival skills were a joke compared to the lipan apache....he was basicly a modern day lipan apache!
(note that the class is verbal and to take full notes is very hard most people record at the class as well)
I will also tell you the first time he walked in the classroom which was a barn, the hairs on my neck were at full attention...this guy is no joke!!!
I also remember the end of the week ceremony were we prepared a huge meal from fresh fish cought in the stream and natural herbs and plants we used to cook with. There were about 70 people in the class and we all broke off into groups to gather something different for the big supper.
The spiritual ceremony itself was of lipan apache origin....the spirit was summoned and some people had visual reconnections with lost ones...and they said so after words...
It was very serious and felt so...I was still lost in my fog back then so I didn't make any contacts but something else happend to me...
After the ceremony I accidentaly tested the boundries of the area physicaly. We were told after the ceremony to just relax as long as we saw fit and then when ready, to open are eyes and go ahead and just take a stroll on the property(acres) and find a spot to be with ourselves for a bit before we retired for the night.
Well I ended up strolling out towards the front of the property where the woods clear and you can see the road. So I got about half way out the drive way not really paying attention to where I was going. For some reason at that point in the driveway I did an about face but sort of not under my full control if your with me here.
So the next day my mother came and picked me up because you can't park there and also you have to call the school from a certain phone a few miles away to get directions in. So I was describing that situation to my mother.
She said "oh well yeah there is a big protective dome around this place I could feel it when I dropped you off. It was a little ways into the drive way. I knew at that point for sure this was a good place for you"
My mother was a teacher at the first Silva Mind Method school in Texas.
Tom Browns standard survival course as it is named is far far from standard
The tracking system alone is a thing of beauty (we learned how to read tracks in the dust)...and Tom has also done work helping the authorities find lost people in the woods...back then it was somewhere around 700!!
One of the other stunning things that happened was one of his helpers or teachers at the school told me that something big was going to happen in the next few years after I had asked if (in short) "will our skills ever be tested" I now know he was talking about 911 and the coming days ahead of us.
yeah the real deal for sure and my first push toward my path ( Thanks Tom ).....google Tom Brown to learn more.
Peace Always..
