Yes, but examine the cost of that industrialized agriculture: more chemical fertilizers are being used, more chemical herbicides and pesticides are being used, crops are being genetically modified to yield more and/or be resistant to the herbicide/pesticide, more farm machinery is being used, the system encourages the use of concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs). Chemical and CAFO runoff pollutes, the animals in the CAFOs release enormous amounts of greenhouse gas, and so does the machinery used to sustain this industrial farming regime.
