It's not odd at all... it's the same tool with the same function, so I don't have a problem with both my husband and I using his shaver for all parts.
I don't even really see the point of "women's" vs. "men's" razors/shavers, except for marketing purposes, but I guess that applies to a lot of things. It's all the same hair to me.
