Firstly, I was sleeping.
I'm not expecting anyone and I'm alone in a house that's located in an area that might be defined as somewhere between "the country" and "suburbia". Not enough reason to be scared?
I don't usually scare easily.
And lastly, I was sleeping and, I can only assume, dreamed about something that made the idea of someone at my door very scary.
