I had fired weapons and enjoyed them before I met Crompsin, but didn't own any. The first night I spent with him, he kept a pistol in my hotel room for protection. It was different, but not unnerving. His first visit to see me in Ohio, he taught me gun parts, mechanisms, and a whole lot of safety. Thanks to him I own two guns: a S&W 442 .38 revolver that I intend to take my concealed carry test with (after I get eye surgery) and a Walther P22. I also have quite a few "wants" when it comes to firearms but since funds are limited I try not to look at them too much.
We have a shotgun for home defense, as well. Actually, we have three. And a few rifles and a handful of handguns. Unfortunately, there are a lot of gun regulations around here so we can't go shooting where we live, even though there are plenty of deer to be hunted.
