Arizona has some funny laws along that vein. Swords are legal, so long as they aren't concealed. But if it folds, like a pocket knife, then you can conceal it, and there is no limitation on blade length...So if I wanted I could conceal a folding sword

 You may want to be careful there. At least in Az we have something that defines its purpose on whether its a deadly weapon. Like a wood cutting axe, good, but a battle axe, deadly weapon. A mace, as far as I know, has no other purpose than to hurt people. Even though a large hammer would be practically the same thing. You guys may have a similar law.
