Thanks. I'd been putting off getting out this year since both mine and my brother's work schedules have been crazy. I decided to take a vacation day and hike in the mountains with my wife and am glad that I did. The colors that day were probably the brightest I've seen around here. Colors have peaked here now and maybe faded a bit, so the timing was right. Hope you had a chance to get out too.

I have a 16x20 print hanging on my living room wall that I took at this spot a few years ago. I was hoping to get a picture without some ugly branches in the view, but haven't been able to get back there when the colors were right. Maybe next year.

I LOVE the colors... thank you so much for sharing these. I am really missing autumn colors this year, as it's my second fall in Iceland and it's just not the same up here (no trees, for one thing!). Just gorgeous views... can't wait to get back to some deciduousity.  |

These are all around the area about 100 miles north of NYC near the Hudson River.The bridge crosses one of the large NYC reservoirs that are in the area. These few weeks are probably about the best time of year around here with all the color and the comfortable weather.
I have a few more I need to look at from yesterday. I'll probably post a couple more.
