For instance, one game that the majority of the country is mad about is a game called Cricket. In one of its incarnations, Test Cricket, matches take five days to play, and in-between deliveries (each time the ball gets bowled at the batsman) the delay can be a couple of minutes. I've seen the TV commentators reduced to talking about the seagulls on the pitch to fill in time while waiting for something to happen.
