Federal guidelines called for a prison sentence of 70 months, but U.S. District Judge Eduardo C. Robreno credited Kirsch for her apparent remorse

Apart from the crime commited, I realy dislike this business of remorse in courts. If she showed no remorse she likely would have been given a longer sentence, perhaps the sentence she deserves. Since when should the guilty persons emotions have anything to do with the crime and sentencing after the fact. Having to show remorse(real or fake) as far as I am concerned somehow is not any equilizer or redemption for lack of responsibility.
