I realize that I'm getting off topic here...so forgive me. When we look at our test scores in public schools, we really can't get too down on ourselves. We are one of the few countries (if not the only country) that includes children with special needs in their standardized testing scores.
Many countries don't even give education to children with special needs, let alone let their scores help represent the country's public education.
This is one of the reasons our scores are so much lower than others in K-12, but our colleges are doing great.
