I am not a maverick, and at one point I was uncertain about Obama. During the past 6 months I have probed, asked questions, presented information and found that the pattern in the responses were clear. Anything that appeared to be an attack against Obama was summarily dismissed and often followed with an ad hominem argument or the old standby of the Republicans did it too. Now I often apologize up front, give warnings and try to save people the effort of repeating what I have heard before.

I have stated what I don't like about his policy, his character, and leadership style. I have also given my reasons. I am sure he is a nice guy and I would not mind taking him on one-on-one on the basketball court. Over the past few months my view of him evolved into what it is today. Also, understand that I don't like McCain either. Until Palin I was inclined to vote for Bob Barr.

I was rejecting that premise for a long time. However, I do feel some think that and I am surprise when I find Obama supporters who don't. Recently I have not read any thing from an Obama supporter that questions anything about him.

Interestingly enough, everything that is wrong with Obama is right about Palin.

No. There is one big difference and I have stated it several times. Obama, based on what I know, has never taken an un-populist stand on any issue, has not stood up to his party on any issue and in my view has not lead on any issue. Like her or not, Palin has. Even on the trooper-gate issue - to me Palin shows she is human, she shows she has "balls". Obama "runs" from his pastor, he "runs" from his church, he "runs" from Ayers, he "runs" from ACORN, he "runs" from anything that may be controversial, when picking a VP, he picks an insider who said Obama was not qualified to pacify whatever group he was pacifying with the Biden pick.

Again, I ask for a reality check given your knowledge and experience. Again, organizations don't break laws, people do. Generally, ACORN people are honest and are doing what they can within the law. However, the problem people have with ACORN and organizations like it, is not that they violate the law but that they tap dance around the margins of doing what is right. Some of their methods make people feel uncomfortable, and I think you know it. Obama needs to keep swing voters feeling comfortable, McCain wants the opposite. Do you really think this is about legal or illegal activity?
