Yes, this is interesting. I thought the one a day (for women) or two a day (for men) was a free and easy rule. I guess not.
I've always thought that you don't need to drink the red wine limit to help your heart. There are many other ways, which you've mentioned.
I think the best thing to do is to not drink alcohol at all. There are too many bad things about it, and now even the beneficial aspect has a problem.
Although I enjoy a nice wine and a good beer, I could never drink another drop and be fine with it. There are other things to enjoy on the palate.
I think people should drink tea as a health beverage rather than wine. Tea isn't perfect either, but I think it's quite better.
