All these "cleanses" to me are bullshit. Show me scientifically gathered data that proves this has long-term benefits and actually does something positive to your body and then we'll talk. I wouldn't do this myself.
Your body doesn't need you to cleanse it, it does a good enough job on its own. Your digestive tract was made to deal with waste and absorb nutrients. All through it, there is a delicate balance of bacteria and natural chemicals. Interfering with this process can hurt or destroy these relationships, meaning your intestine may not work as well as it should after that. Your liver, kidneys and lungs also work on detoxing your body. We are a fine-tuned machine and doing these aggressive things like not eating for ten days and going to the bathroom constantly are an assault on the balance of the body.
I think this is a terrible way to go about losing weight, and I doubt it will stick if it's done in such a drastic way. A balanced diet and exercise will serve you better in the long-term, and instead of resetting your body, a lifestyle change will help to reprogram your mind.

Whether we write or speak or do but look
We are ever unapparent. What we are
Cannot be transfused into word or book.
Our soul from us is infinitely far.
However much we give our thoughts the will
To be our soul and gesture it abroad,
Our hearts are incommunicable still.
In what we show ourselves we are ignored.
The abyss from soul to soul cannot be bridged
By any skill of thought or trick of seeming.
Unto our very selves we are abridged
When we would utter to our thought our being.
We are our dreams of ourselves, souls by gleams,
And each to each other dreams of others' dreams.
Fernando Pessoa, 1918
