rather short for me as well:
ironically: belgian endive/witloof (I had to specifically look up what the name of this is in the US, only to find out you use the same name?)
My grandparents are/were farmers specialised in it, so while growing up I think I had them at least 2 times a week.
I really don't like the taste anymore. It's like wet sloppy slightly bitter, mostly tasteless muck. grrr
Does anybody make these in the US though? I've read and seen enough US exports. That I didn't know the word yet in English makes me think it's not all that popular.
