An interesting thought from one of the youtube posters:

But the snake doesn't seem to be avoiding the hamster. It just isn't eating it. I wish I could understand what they were saying on the video. Like what the snake normally eats with the hamster in the cage, and if this frightens the hamster watching another creature being eaten. I also wonder if the snake has ever eaten live prey, or if they've always been frozen mice.
