size matters not to a Jedi! or.. sith warrior turned jedi wanna-be turned .. well..depends on what ending you pick.
If you are a star wars nerd and are interested in the STORY of star wars this is a must play. This game is official star wars cannon and it is written rather well.. to the point where i wouldn't be surprised if this becomes a movie (one that doesn't suck.)
For those who would like to know what it's about but would rather not buy/play the game: Spoiler: Darth Vader upon killing a Jedi discovers this Jedi has a son who is very strong with the force. Vader kills all witnesses (storm troopers and the like) and takes this boy to live on his super star destroyer which is under construction (being built by only droids) and makes him his secret apprentice. He names his apprentice Starkiller.
Years later Vader sends you after your first Jedi target, Rahm Kota, with the help of your pilot/crush Juno Eclipse and your personal robot PROXY who is able to project holographic images of other people over his metallic body. Rahm survived order 66 because he used his own personal militia during the war rather than storm troopers as he felt they were not capable enough warriors. During the show-down Kota tells Starkiller that Vader will not always be his master and that he sees only.. him. Starkiller then sends Kota falling from the facility through the clouds after burning out his eyes with his lightsaber.
Spoiler:
After a few more Jedi hunting missions (where you kill Kazdan Paratus and later Shaak Ti) the Emperor arrives at Vader's super star destroyer and discovers Starkiller. He orders Vader to kill him. Vader, seemingly prepared for this, stages Starkiller's death (without telling Starkiller his plan) blasting him out into space through a window as the Emperor watches. Later we find that Vader goes out and scoops him up and revives him. Vader then explains how this staged death was required to fulfill his plan to kill the Emperor.
Spoiler:
That plan: To assemble an army to stand against the Emperor and his forces.
Starkiller, under the guise of breaking away from the Empire, rescues his pilot/love interest Juno and leaves the empire behind. His first decision after this was to try and track down Rahm Kota.. fulfilling Kota's vision.
It is around this point that you learn that Princess Leia (and R2-D2) was sent into Vader's custody by her father (Senator Bale Organa) as a way for the Emperor and Vader to keep him in line.
Starkiller, finally tracking down Kota, discovers him a blind, druken, broken man who seemingly has lost his connection with the force. Kota and Starkiller fight their way through storm troopers sent after them and Kota agrees to join Starkiller on this mission of destroying the empire, claiming to have a contact in the senate who may be able to help.
Kota's contact, before trusting Starkiller, sends Starkiller and Kota on a mission; to save Princess Leia who is being held on Kashyyyk (wookiee home planet). During this mission Starkiller comes across a small burnt-out hut, his former home. Upon entering this place of darkness he faces a vision of his father in a scene similar to Luke in the tree. Starkiller rescues Leia who sends him on a mission to destroy a facility used to ferry wookiee slaves into space, further proving his true intentions and worthiness.
Spoiler:
Following this mission Kota reveals to Starkiller that Senator organa is, in fact, his contact. He goes on to mention how Organa has gone missing after going on a personal mission to track down Shaak Ti. Apprently Maris Brood, Shaak Ti's apprentice, has gone mad after the death of her master and has turned to the dark side. She keeps Bale Organa imprisoned inside a Sarlacc. Starkiller tracks down Organa, faces Maris and her pet rancor. After a long battle Maris begs Starkiller for her life, claiming that she will turn her back on the dark side. Starkiller lets her live. Organa disagrees with the decision, claiming that she reminded him of a certain other young Jedi who was seduced by the dark side...
Starkiller, Kota, and Organa meet and discuss their plans to gather more support for open rebellion. Shortly there after Starkiller communicates with Vader, asking him for a suitable target to prove the strength of the rebellion in an effort to gather this support. Juno, overhearing this transmission, learns the truth that Starkiller is still working for the Empire.. showing her disappointment and giving Starkiller a chance to change his ways.
Spoiler:
Long story short, Starkiller goes on this mission and destroys an imperial shipyard and earns enough support to build up his "rebel alliance". He contacts Vader and informs him of his progress, claiming to need more time and for Vader to not contact him and blow his cover.
The alliance leaders meet to discuss their plans on what appears to be Hoth. Bale providing the funding, Garm Bel Iblis the fleet and Mon Mothma the soldiers. The group declare Starkiller their leader with Kota at his side.
Immediately following their official declaration of rebellion Vader arrives with his troops, taking them all captive.. the Emperor wishing to execture them all personally. Vader confronts Starkiller, informing him that he was no longer needed.. he has accomplished his plan of gathering all of the Emperor's enemies for destruction. Vader attacks Starkiller. Starkiller's life is saved by his personal droid, falling from a cliff out of the reach of Vader.
Spoiler:
Starkiller is picked up by his pilot. He plans to rescue the captive alliance leaders but does not know where to find them. Upon meditating Starkiller has a vision. The captives arebeing held on "a massive.. space station!" (bUmBuMbuUuuUUm!)
Well.. you guessed it! On to the Deathstar (currently under construction)!
Vader is sent to intercept Starkiller. After an epic battle Starkiller strips the helmet from Vader and leaves him a smoking crumpled lump on the floor. The Emperor gives Starkiller a choice.. strike down Vader and take his place at his side or die. The Emperor choses this as a good time to start his execution of the prisoners, shocking them with his force lightning.
So.. which path to choose? Kill Vader and join the dark side? Or confront the emperor and attempt to save the rebel leaders?
I chose to confront the emperor.
In this ending Starkiller keeps the emperor busy long enough for the rebel leaders to escape... losing his life in the process... (?)
Spoiler:
In the dark side ending Vader is destroyed by Starkiller. The rebel leaders are destroyed by the emperor. And Starkiller is given one final task - to kill Kota. Starkiller, about to strike down Kota, choses instead to take a swing at the Emperor. Wrong move as he is sent flying through a window via force lightning. Juno seeing Starkiller thrown from the window attempts to land and save him. The emperor reaches out with his force powers, grabbing her ship and using it to smash Starkiller. In the end Starkiller awakens, as Vader once did, to find that his body has been turned into a robotic monstrosity. The Emperor informs him of his plan to use him as he did Vader until he can find a new stronger apprentice.
Spoiler:
Its pretty clear that the Light side ending is the cannon ending.
And there you have it. Starkiller - Founder of the Rebel Alliance.
Wow that took longer than i thought it would.. but there ya go folks
