abaya, I agree with that. All bodies age and change shape, of course. I like my body as it is, most days. Some days I just hate everything. This is normal I'd say. You can't love yourself to bits every day, it's emotional too. I try not to be too hard on myself. But I do like to keep in shape and as long as I can look the way I like, I'm happy to make an extra effort to stay that way. I can't say I'd like my body in all shapes imaginable...then I'd just be lying. That doesn't mean I apply that standard to all bodies I see.

Whether we write or speak or do but look
We are ever unapparent. What we are
Cannot be transfused into word or book.
Our soul from us is infinitely far.
However much we give our thoughts the will
To be our soul and gesture it abroad,
Our hearts are incommunicable still.
In what we show ourselves we are ignored.
The abyss from soul to soul cannot be bridged
By any skill of thought or trick of seeming.
Unto our very selves we are abridged
When we would utter to our thought our being.
We are our dreams of ourselves, souls by gleams,
And each to each other dreams of others' dreams.
Fernando Pessoa, 1918
