I've been down here for over 30 years now and I've yet to see one reach Category 4 (as of 5 pm update) that far out. If you're in the cone and anywhere near a coast,
please take it seriously. (Yes, I experienced Hurricane Andrew in South Florida in 1992, so I've seen what they can do firsthand.)
Brevard and Orange Counties are already preparing to direct traffic on both sides of the medians, for the first time ever, to expedite and ease the evacuations and traffic flow out of certain areas by Sunday.
