I'll second Lasereth's opinion. Good, solid singleplayer - groundbreaking in some aspects. Amazing graphics, but a tad short (took me around 10 hours).
Multiplayer is on par with the best games out there. I'm not a huge multiplayer person, but I play MP COD4 all the time - it's really awesome. And you can jump right in. It's not like Counterstrike where you will suck for 6 months before killing one person because the other people are so good. I was winning matches within 2 weeks.
