Long Island Iced Tea
I did a couple searches and did not find a thread for this, so here goes:
After ordering Long Island Iced Teas at restaurants and enjoying them greatly, I decided to try to make this beverage for enjoyment in my own home. I searched the web and came up with a billion recipes (ok, it was only a couple hundred) and they all followed this same basic principle:
1 part Vodka
1 part Gin
1 part Rum
1 part Tequila
1 part Triple Sec
1.5-2 parts Sweet and Sour
Splash of Coke
Now having gone to the liquor store and stocked my bar I attempted to make this drink and came up with the following reaction: "What the hell is this? It's nothing like Iced Tea!"
So here I am asking the question: How do YOU make a Long Island Iced Tea?
I will be checking back here in the near future, assuming I am still sober enough to tell which keyboard is the real one.
