For some reason, field hockey has always annoyed me. It always seemed too encumbered by stupid rules. If they used slightly longer sticks and didn't have to scamper around in a crouch, and were able to use both sides of the stick, have more body contact (not necessarily full checking) they might get somewhere. It's funny, but in america it is almost entirely a girls sport, but in the rest of the world it is almost all men playing.
I say put beer league softball in the Olympics, mandatory 8 foot arc on the pitches, mandatory beers at every position, and you must pick up your beer on the way to first base and take it with you on the basepaths.
In seriousness, I would love to see MMA in the Olympics, and I understand why baseball is being phased out. I love baseball, but it seemed like it was roughly on par with the college world series, which is fun, but once you get used to the Major Leagues, it just doesn't seem as fun.
