Picard, all the way.
Kirk, for all his machismo, just doesn't have a broad reaching enough leadership skill, imho. He couldn't lead me anywhere. I'd just want to punch him in the face after a few days.
Picard, on the other hand, I can see leading a group of damn near anything. I'd follow him wherever he wanted to lead us.
