I assume that these four individuals are not Jewish. In that case, they aren't bound by any sort of religious/cultural precedents. Judging from the quotes in the article, they're thrilled, and I doubt they will feel robbed of any sort of magic. If anything, it will be a special event that can be fondly looked back on in their later years.
