I did not mean to leave the impression that I don't sometimes feel disgusted when I wonder if someone checked the mirror that morning. But if I'm spending time and energy upset at someone's belly or hip flab hanging over their too-tight jeans, I'd have to wonder how perfect I am to judge another woman.
If we hadn't been taught to realize that we, as females, have a standard to live up to, we wouldn't sit on our high horses judging others. Yes, I'm guilty, too. But I've finally come to the point where the thought will come, but I let it go immediately. Maybe if we came to a greater awareness collectively, we could influence Madison Avenue's standard of beauty.
