I was 14. In TN they changed the law in the early 80s from 19 to 21, but grandfathered in anyone that was born before July 1965, I was born in Oct 67 so I had to wait till I was 21, but still had access thanks to friend's older brothers.

I don't think its a good idea at all, I think drunk driving accidents and deaths will increase and I really don't want to see 18-20 year olds in the bar... I don't think lowering the drinking age will lower the incidence of "binge" drinking, if anything it will make it more accessible...
