I could cite my concerns about neurological development. But I won't. I'd rather not see the government determining what is an appropriate drinking age.
My first "drink" was about 8 months after I turned 21. I went to a bar with a couple of friends from a theatre group. They offered to buy me a drink. I didn't know the first thing about ordering drinks. So they ordered me something citrus-y. It was yummy. They mentioned to the bartender that I was the DD for the night. She didn't check my ID. I assume the drink was a virgin. It had absolutely no effect on me. But it was tasty.
The next "drink" was on October that year. A friend made pumpkin beer. I took a sip. It was odd.
These stories are by no means interesting. I'm sure other people have more exciting stories to tell.
