Strange and beautiful film. The story of two teenage girls in 1950s New Zealand who alarm their parents with their intense friendship. Things could have been handled better...tragedy ensues.
Great film. Peter Jackson. Wonderful first film performances by the two young actresses, includng Kate Winslet. Wouldn't it be great to have Kate Winslet as a girlfriend?
