Think about what you touch when you go to the bathroom vs. what you touch during sex. Is there a big difference. In fact, a lot of men (and probably women too) can go to the bathroom without touching anything other than their clothes, would't you still expect them to wash their hands?

Yeah, I guess I'm a little surprised at the responses, too. I see it as a body fluid/hygiene thing, just like going to the bathroom. I mean, I don't jump up immediately to take care of it, but I'm not a huge fan of my own smell (I've always been the type with a lot of discharge, no matter what time of the month or mood I was in, and I started hating that smell even back in high school), the smell/stickiness of lube, the smell of semen, or that sweaty-genital-smell--hmm, basically I don't like any of the smells of sex, lol--and it all gets on my hands if the sex has been good.
So yes, I wash, out of personal preference as well as out of courtesy to anyone I might be meeting afterwards. The idea of meeting people and shaking hands with them when they might not have washed after that business... makes me a little queasy.
