And this is quite a thing. Women's sabre has only been in the Olympics for four years, and prior to 2004 the United States had not won a Gold medal in any Fencing discipline for more than 100 years. For the U.S. to "bracket" this event in 2004 and sweep it in 2008 is nothing short of incredible.
