Agreed - my dev life would be a lot worse without firebug.
I also have a plugin called NetUsage. It keeps track of how much I've downloaded each month (
Net Usage Item - Firefox Internet Usage Extension). Only useful for Aussie ISPs I think, so probably mostly useless for just about everyone here.
Plus I've got the Aussie English dictionary plugin - because Americans are useless spellers
