As much as I laughed when I read Kazoo's phrase, when I see again with a picture - it starts to saddens me.
I think this is one of those situations where it maybe ok as a throw-away line. But it's better left as that. It's quite a reasonable idea for retarded kids to participate in sport. And there is nothing morally objectionable about being retarded. It's simply the luck of the draw (or not) basically.
