the closest i've come to paying was getting a lap dance and (unexpectidly) having the stripper unzip me and start rubbing me off. i've since heard a few more stories about that particular club and getting head is definatly possible there, sex, rarer but not unheard of. live and learn, eh?
i've actually developed an interest in the sex industry recently, and have read a few different books on it, written by women working in it. so far i've read "a strippers tail" ('tale' spelled tail) which i wouldn't recommend. horrible spelling, grammar, and if you believe the author, she's perfect, never did anything "extra" but has plenty to say and talk down about the women who do.
i've also read and highly highly recommend "call girl" by jeanette angell and "the call girl actress" by erica black. both of them worked as mid-to high paying escorts for a few years and these are their memoirs. one worked for an agency in boston her entire time working, the other started out with an agency and went independent. one thing they both touch on is that some of their clients, especially "hobbyists", would try to get them to give head or sex without condoms. they said no, but others they met in the industry sometimes allowed it with regulars. the point? if you go and pay for sex, you don't know if they always use protection with their clients, both for head and sex.
that said... when you go to the bar and land a one night stand, odds are, the girl is not going to use a condom for oral. between internet dating and random hook ups, i've gotten head from a decent number of girls, not one of which has even brought up using protection for it. sex, yeah, we used it, but not head. i'd say unless you're hooking up with someone who's a virgin, there's a good chance you're putting yourself at more risk for an orally transmitted disease (through kissing or head) than with a sex worker who doesn't walk the street. the sex worker may give some guys head without a condom, but the non-sex worker you're hooking up with has probably never had safe oral sex.
