That's an awesome car...one of my favorite Bimmers. The full-blown racing versions were MUCH more powerful than the street versions and extremely fast.
The local dealer near my house, Don Rosen BMW in Bala Cynwyd PA, has an all original white M1 that I see cruising around the neighborhood once in a blue moon. Once I followed it very respectfully just to get a close look at it moving.
