I saw some people do that in New Zealand. And I might be ok with the going straight up part, but my body doesn't like the feeling of falling. The spinning around at the same time would probably make me sick.

I like the ride at the space and rocket museum in Huntsville, AL that doesn't go up that high and only goes up and down.
