I enjoyed it when I did it a few years ago. Honestly, I didn't find it really all that "scary". Bungee jumping was much more intimidating, basically because you actually have to do something (make the concious decision to jump). On these, you basically sit down and the workers do the rest.
$50 seems about right. And I think we pulled about 3 G's on the way up, but that's just an estimate and only based on a faded recollection. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it was more or less.
