The Maltese Falcon
Summary (from imdb) Sam Spade is a partner in a private-eye firm who finds himself hounded by police when his partner is killed whilst tailing a man. The girl who asked him to follow the man turns out not to be who she says she is, and is really involved in something to do with the 'Maltese Falcon', a gold-encrusted life-sized statue of a falcon, the only one of its kind.
Comment: I found the story hard to follow, but it could be the old school dialogue from a film made in the 1940’s. The over the top acting and funny characters made this movie enjoyable at times, so if you are a fan of films from the 40’s or like Humphrey Bogart then I would recommend this film.

Soylent Green
Summary (From imdb): A tale of Earth in despair in 2022. Natural food like fruits, vegetables, and meat among others are now extinct. Earth is overpopulated and New York City has 40 million starving, poverty stricken people. The only way they survive is with water rations and eating a mysterious food called Soylent. A detective investigates the murder of the president of the Soylent company. The truth he uncovers is more disturbing than the Earth in turmoil when he learns the secret ingredient of Soylent Green
Comments: For a story placed in 2022, it certainly looks like everyone is still dressed in the 70's. I want my 97 minutes back because the story, acting and dialogue were sub par.
