Ferguson delighted to net Torres
Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson says Wycombe winger Sergio Torres is a player he has always treated as the danger man when in the opposition team.
Ferguson, who faced the Argentine when he was at Wrexham, said: "He's one I've always admired.
"When you look back at teams you've played against, he's always been the one who is the main threat for them and I'm delighted to get him on board."
Torres has recently had an operation on his ankle but Ferguson does not expect that to affect his move to London Road.
"We just need to get the medical done, I'm sure that'll be fine and he'll get signed on Monday."
Ferguson insisted he will not be employing Torres as an out-and-out winger as that would not fit in with his tactics.
He said: "The way we play, we don't really play with out-and-out wingers as I want to give my wide players freedom.
"I think it suits them and if they've got ability you just want to let them get on with it, within the structure of the formation we play obviously."
Torres has impressed Ferguson in a variety of ways, and the Posh manager added: "He's a good footballer, he's got two good feet, he's got enough pace and he's got a good temperament, so he ticks all the right boxes."
